Welcome
Welcome is a registered charity which delivers drug and alcohol treatment and support services in Solihull as a member of the SIAS Partnership. Our aim is to assist individuals and their families into recovery and rebuilding their lives.
SIAS (Solihull Integrated Addiction Services) is a partnership of organisations including Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust, Aquarius, Changes UK and Urban Heard. It’s aim is to ensure that anyone living or working in the Borough whose drug or alcohol use, or gambling, has become problematic has easy access to the treatment and support services they need. SIAS also offers drug & alcohol awareness training, housing and homelessness support and support for families (adults and children) affected by others’ substance misuse.
Welcome is involved in the delivery of:
- SPOE – the Single Point of Entry to all SIAS services, including welcoming people into the service, conducting triage assessments, allocating clients to keyworkers, providing information and signposting to other services as appropriate
- Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services – for adults and young people
- Harm reduction advice and Needle Exchange service
- Support for children affected by parental substance misuse
We also offer training, work experience and volunteer placements for local people and ex service users who have become drug and alcohol free, through our wholly owned Community Interest Company, Welcome Change.
