		<description><![CDATA[Young Persons Counsellor &#8211; Hidden Harm Part Time (11.50 hrs per week) Fixed Term to 31st January 2021 Salary - £24,000 per annum (pro rata) + 5% pension scheme Location – Welcome, Middlewood House, Chelmsley Wood, B37 7UR Reports to – Service Manager &#160; Role Summary Based within our Young Persons Team, the post holder will work alongside our YP Hidden Harm Practitioner and Support Worker, offering a counselling service to young people affected by parental or familial substance misuse. The role involves supporting young people in exploring and coping with a range of issues related to their experience of living with someone who misuses substances.  The aim is to improve outcomes for young people by supporting their emotional wellbeing, building resilience and effective mood management skills. The post holder will be expected to assure programme integrity through compliance with British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BCAP) framework of good practice and ethics.
